Will my overseas SIM work while I’m in China?

Ask your carrier whether your plan includes mainland China, what data allowance applies, and whether your usual apps are accessible. Overseas routing is available with some roaming products, but it is not a promise every SIM can make.

For example, Airalo states that its listed China, Asia and global eSIM products provide access to Google and WhatsApp without a separate VPN. Confirm the exact product before buying. Connecting to hotel Wi-Fi uses the hotel’s network instead.
